Panthers waive former fifth round pick Frank Alexander; Sign TE

The Panthers announced they waived/injured DE Frank Alexander on Monday and signed TE Dallas Walker to a contract.

This is a risky move by the Panthers, because another team can claim him. If I was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers I would claim Alexander. Whoever claims him can place him on the I/R for the year and have first dibs to re-sign him next year, they just have to wait until September 1st to make the move.

Alexander is a very solid player, who could be a steal for someone via the waiver wire.
