Osi Umenyiora officially retires a Giant; Jets tried calling him yesterday
Osi Umenyiora has officially retired from the NFL. Osi will go down as one of the best pass rushers in Giants history, and he still had an opportunity even though he was retiring today.

According to multiple reports, Osi was called yeaterday by the New York Jets to see if Osi was serious, because they were interested in bringing him on.
@MikeGarafolo: Team that contacted Osi Umenyiora yesterday was the Jets, source says. No formal offer made, just checking to see if he was really retiring.
