There have been 40 extra points so far in the NFL this pre-season and only one has been missed. That miss came last night.
Titans kicker Ryan Succop missed an extra-point attempt in the second quarter, becoming the first kicker to blow a 33-yard PAT. In theory, this rule change was supposed to make the extra point more exciting.
This is great for football, because it is not as easy as it once was. Kickers are going to miss, and there could be bad snaps. So this is exciting for football. I think they should allow the defense to pick which hash the kicker should have to kick from. I think the defense should get that option to make it even harder.
