Michael Vick to Pittsburgh? Steelers are hosting the veteran quarterback
Right now Michael Vick might be the best quarterback available, and one team lacks a back up quarterback badly. That team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that free agent QB Michael Vick is on his way to meet with the Steelers on Tuesday.
While the team has Bruce Gradkowski and Landry Jones, Vick is a very solid player that could come in and start right away if something happens to Big Ben. Steelers QB Bruce Gradkowski is undergoing surgery for a dislocated finger on his left hand.
Vick, 34, played out his one-year contract worth $4 million with the Jets last season, but the former Virginia Tech Hokie has a lot left in his tank.
Vick has been practicing in Florida with Chris Chambers trying to get another shot.
