Zach Mettenberger was a starter last year and the second-year pro out of LSU connected on 8 of 11 passes for 129 yards, with one touchdown and one interception against the Falcons for a 104.0 passer rating.

NFL Media’s Michael Robinson went in on Mettenberger, saying he is a starter in the NFL.

“Zach Mettenberger is one of the 32 good quarterbacks in this league,” Robinson said. “He is a starter. And I think the Tennessee Titans have an issue on their hands. A good issue.”

“You can just see how the ball pops out of his hands and jumps out of his hands as he throws the ball. He has a strong arm. He has a great understanding of the pocket, great understanding of football concepts. I wouldn’t want to be Ken Whisenhunt right now,” Robinson added.
