The Philadelphia Eagles waive/injured OLB Emmanuel Acho due to a hand injury on Thursday, according to Zach Berman. Acho underwent thumb surgery earlier this week, according to Jeff McLane. 
If Acho clears the waiver wire he will revert back to injured reserve. The problem with releasing veterans like Acho before the cut down date means you risk the chance of losing them to another team.
