Doug Martin is ready for a break out year in 2015 for the Buccaneers
Doug Martin has been considered a bust by many after a huge rookie year. He is in a contract year, and after earning 1,454 yards as a rookie, Martin has combined for just 950 yards the past two seasons while dealing with shoulder and ankle injuries.
Martin has already been named the starting running back in Tampa Bay and he is ready to prove he can play.
“The sky is the limit,” Martin said, via ESPN.com. “We have a lot of potential going into this year with this team. We have a lot of weapons and a lot of guys with fire in them that want to be successful. I just can’t wait to get out there with them.”
Martin could have a break out year similar to Ryan Matthews and Mark Ingram who were both in similar situations last season. Martin could come back and shine for his final season to earn that big contract.
