Could the Jacksonville Jaguars be looking to trade a kicker? Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union thinks that they may be hoping to land a late-round draft pick in a trade for one of them before the cuts to 53 players.
Right now the only real team that would be interested in a kicker would be the Steelers. This moves makes no sense to me though. Number one why would a team trade for a player that will likely get cut anyway? All the team has to do is wait it out, and several kickers will be released.
Scobee has been the kicker for the Jaguars for a very, very long time, and he has been money in the preseason, but they have a newcomer in Jason Myers has hit on four of the five field goals he’s tried, missing from 58 yards, and put seven of his eight kickoffs into the end zone to earn good reviews for both his leg strength and accuracy.
