City of St. Louis has 15 million dollar down payment for their riverfront stadium
It sounds more and more like the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers will be the teams moving to Los Angeles. It is not confirmed yet, but today the City of St. Louis took another step in the right direction. The city was approved 15 million dollars in tax credits this year for their riverfront stadium.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Missouri Development Finance Board approved $15 million in tax credits this year for the proposed riverfront stadium in St. Louis, the first down payment toward $50 million from the agency over three years.
“There are ample protections for our investment,” board chairwoman Marie Carmichael said. “All the ducks have to be in order, all the stars have to be aligned. Everything has to be in place before any [credits] are expended.”
