Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles says he is the “Lebron James” of football
Who is Lebron James? Many would say he is arguably the best basketball player in the NBA. So if you compare yourself to Lebron James in another sport, you are saying you are the best in the game.
Jamaal Charles the running back of the Kansas City Chiefs who has never led the league in rushing, called himself the Lebron James of Football in an interview.
“Sometimes I feel like I’m the LeBron of football,” Charles told reporters at Chiefs camp, according to Terez Paylor of The Kansas City Star, “because I can do so much.”
While Charles is a very solid pass catcher as well as runner, I do not know if I can say he is the Lebron James of Football. He’s rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of his last five healthy seasons, but never leads the league in rushing, always overshadowed by Adrian Peterson, LeSean McCoy and DeMarco Murray. So until he does that, he will just be the Jamaal Charles of Football to me.
