Browns are interested in Ray Rice; Their owner believes he deserves a second chance
The Cleveland Browns have been floating out the Ray Rice name for the past couple days. They are not very happy with their running backs unit, and Wilbert Montgomery coached Ray Rice for six years. So there is obviously interest in the former Ravens back. Last night the Browns owner even talked about Ray Rice saying he deserves a second chance.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam said Thursday that he believes free agent RB Ray Rice is deserving of another chance in the NFL.
“I’d like to see him get another shot,” Haslam said, per Bob Holtzman.
Haslam added that they still want to see what their young running backs can do before considering free agent options. But this makes me wonder if they are floating it out to the public to see how they handle it. If they embrace it, then the Browns could make the move.
