Bills will not consider Ray Rice; Not because of his case, but because of their depth
Buffalo Bills are not afraid to give a player a second chance, just look at their starting left guard. Richie Incognito is back in the NFL, because Rex Ryan believes in second chances. When he talked to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Ryan said that he likes Ray Rice, but because of the depth right now, he will not be considered an option.
“For us, we kind of have a loaded backfield, so there won’t even be a consideration there, because [of] the type of depth we have,” coach Rex Ryan said on Friday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio. “And I think that’s probably what a lot of it is. I was with Ray in Baltimore [and] I really liked him when I was there. . . . We don’t have any interest and we never went into great detail about it because of the type of depth that we have at running back.”
He never really wrote off the idea, but unless some major injuries happen to the Bills backfield, I doubt Rice will be a Bill anytime soon.
