Arizona Cardinals will be without Chris Johnson for the next two weeks
Arizona Cardinals newest running back Chris Johnson will not get to play in the preseason due to a hamstring injury. Johnson, was signed by the Cardinals last week, and did not play in last night’s preseason game against the Chargers even though the Cardinals had initially planned to get him at least a few carries.
Afterward, coach Bruce Arians explained that Johnson pulled a hamstring in Thursday’s practice and will be out for a week or two.
In Johnson’s absence, rookie running back David Johnson rushed for 66 yards off 13 carries at 5.1 yards per attempt, prompting Arians to say that the first-year runner played well “once he got out of the dance studio.”
