Yesterday we heard about Tennessee Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter, and his arrest for a felony assault charge. According to the a report by 24/7 sports, Hunter stabbed and cut a person and the person has serious injuries but not life threatening. Here is the story. 

According to Officer James Cason of the Virginia Beach Police Department, the victim sustained, “serious, but not life-threatening” injuries stemming from the brawl inside the Sandbar Raw Bar that evening.

Hunter turned himself in to Virginia Beach Police shortly after noon on Monday and was booked into jail. Hunter was held overnight without bond, though bond is expected to be set in the case today, according to the prosecutor’s office that is handling the case.
Hunter’s next court appearance date also will be set at the hearing. That date should be about six weeks from now. The Titans report to training camp on July 30.

Hunter has retained attorney Brandon Santos of Richmond, Va., to represent him in the case.

According to Cason, Hunter “became a suspect during the investigation” after police responded to a bar fight late at night at 2110 Atlantic Ave. in Virginia Beach, the location of the bar. Officers were able to restore order from the brawl, but later a person came forward with injuries and pressed charges in the matter.

According to a report by WRKN Channel 2 in Nashville, Hunter was charged with stabbing, cutting, malicious intent and wounding as well as the felonious assault charge he faces.
