Buffalo Bills president Russ Brandon is a savvy young man, that Ralph Wilson Jr. loved. Brandon had quite a bit of power in the Bills organization, because Wilson Jr. trusted him to make sound financial decisions. Well new owner Terry Pegula must feel the same way. Today Pegula named Brandon the president of the Buffalo Sabres as well.
“Since we purchased the Buffalo Bills last October, we have been highly impressed with the business acumen that Russ has shown with the Bills,” the Pegulas said in a statement. “Now is an appropriate time to give him additional responsibilities with the Sabres. Russ will work with Pegula Sports & Entertainment to create strong synergies between the Sabres and Bills. With Russ’ strong ties to the area business community and sponsorship partners, he will effectively position both organizations for future growth. We are grateful to [former president] Ted Black for all he has done for the Sabres organization and wish him much success in his future endeavors.”
When it comes to business Russ Brandon is a genius, he will make the teams money. So this is a great move for the Pegula family.
