The NFL Supplemental Draft is a great option for some players that have past issues.  Many of these players were expected to have an amazing senior year, but that was cut short by incidents. Some were busted for drugs, some could not get their grades up and some had issues with their coaches. The Supplemental draft paid off for many of them, even though they lost millions by their mistakes.  This year three players have already announced they are entering the Supplemental Draft. All three of them are small schoolers. Only 43 players have been selected all time in the Supplemental Draft. Of those 43 only 8 total were from small schools. The last small schooler drafted in the Supplemental Draft was in 1995 when the Dallas Cowboys used a 3rd round pick on Darren Benson.
