According to a report by Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette, Michael Sam decided to leave the Montreal Alouettes because he felt he would be released.
“The latest theory concerning Sam’s departure was that he simply wasn’t good enough to make the roster, sensed this and left to save himself and the organization embarrassment,” Zurkowsky writes. “This particular scenario is gaining steam throughout the Als dressing room and, for that matter, the CFL.”
This is not good, Sam’s playing days are obviously over. If he is in fear of getting cut his days are about over.
