Judge declares rape case by two Vandy football players a mistrial

Today a judge declared a mistrial in the Vanderbilt rape case, according to WKRN-TV in Nashville, throwing out the guilty verdicts against two former Vanderbilt football players.

Lawyers for Brandon Vandenburg and Cory Batey, the two men convicted of the 2013 rape of female student in January, had petitioned the judge to declare a mistrial last week.

It will be interesting to see what happens from here.
