Father of Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett feels Braxton Miller should be the starter
Last year, Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller went down to an injury, and J.T. Barrett came in and lit up college football. While it was a great to see, J.T.’s father Joe looks at it a little differently. He does not feel his son should be the starter. He feels Braxton Miller should be the starter, and his son should have to compete to take it from him.
“Of course I would love to see my kid start, but for me it always goes back to who was first,” Joe Barrett told the Dispatch. “If Braxton hadn’t gotten hurt, I would still be waiting for my baby to get the chance to play. … Like I have told everybody, I don’t want to see my kid take a position because of the misfortune of someone else. In other words, Braxton should get that position back, then everybody else should go try to take it from him.”
While his son may feel differently about the situation, I agree with Papa Barrett. The injury to Braxton was not his fault. What do you think Ohio State fans?
