Chargers Malcolm Floyd says he may shut it down and retire after this season

Chargers wide out Malcolm Floyd has been a solid player for Philip Rivers and the Chargers, but he is in the final year of his contract.

While Floyd is 33, he was still able to haul in 52 receptions for 856 yards and six touchdowns last year. Floyd is trying to focus on 2015-16 season and said he may call it a career after this year.

“I’m trying to worry about what happens after this season,” Floyd said, via Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com. “It can be a distraction. I’m just trying to throw all of my chips in this year, especially because it’s the last year of my contract and just go all out, and worry about the rest later.

“But I’ve got four kids and it’s taking time away from them. So I’m thinking about shutting it down at the end of this season.”
