49ers veteran guard ends his hold out and shows up for mandatory minicamp
Alex Boone, the veteran guard who skipped off-season training activities in search of a new contract, will be at the team’s veteran mini-camp, according to a report from the Sacramento Bee.
Boone, the starter at right guard since 2011, missed the 2014 off-season while seeking a more lucrative contract. The 49ers reworked his two-year deal, and he played in 15 games last season. He still wants more money and perhaps has more leverage this season.
We will see what happens with Boone, but if he does not get what he wants he may just force the 49ers hand.
