Eagles have signed 6’9 Arena Football League Player; 11 tryout players announced as well

Today the Philadelphia Eagles signed defensive end Frank Mays and released WR Will Murphy.

Mays (6-9, 291) signed with the Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent, but was released. He spent last year with the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League.

The team also announced these 11 players would participate in their rookie mini camp this week for a tryout:

  • Daniel Fitzpatrick, DB, Tennessee State
  • Ofa Hautau, DT, Oklahoma State
  • Mike Johnson, WR, Delaware
  • Vince Kowalski, OT, Villanova
  • Kevin Monangai, RB, Villanova
  • Pat O’Hara, LB, Monmouth
  • Justin Oxendine, LB, Citadel
  • Joe Sarnese, S, Villanova
  • Andy Vailas, QB, New Hampshire (Chip Kelly use to coach there)
  • Chandler Whitmer, QB, UConn
  • Mike Zeuli, LB, Princeton
