The Dolphins wanted Matt Barkley but settled for Josh Freeman instead
NBC reporter Dianna Marie Russini reports that the Miami Dolphins VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum chose to sign veteran QB Josh Freeman over trading for Eagles QB Matt Barkley. According to the report, the Eagles only were looking for a late round pick in exchange.

Philadelphia has reportedly had Barkley on the trading block for months, but it appears as though they weren’t able to find anyone willing to part with the type of compensation they were looking for. With the recent drought in quarterbacks, the Eagles may look to place Barkley on the block again.
