NFL Draft Diamonds 2015 NFL Mock Draft including trades

nfl draft diamonds mock draftTampa Bay Buccaneers (2-14) – Jameis Winston – QB – Florida State University – This may shock some but I feel he is the best NFL ready quarterback in the NFL Draft.  He might be a knucklehead but the Buccaneers need a gunslinger.  Winston can do it all.

Tennessee (2-14) – TRADE w/Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles select Marcus Mariota from Oregon. Chip Kelly loves this guy and now that he is labeled Head Coach/GM, it will be tough for the Eagles to not be on board with this move. Titans receive Sam Bradford, the Eagles 2015 first round pick and a 1st in 2016.

Jacksonville (3-13) – Dante Fowler – DE – Florida – This is a tough pick, because the Jaguars could go either Leonard Williams who is from Daytona Beach, or the Gators pass rusher. Fowler has an explosive burst and strong hands and plays with fanatical effort. I feel the Jaguars will lean on Fowler because he fills a bigger need for them at this time.

Oakland (3-13) – Amari Cooper – WR – Alabama – The best wide receiver in the draft goes to the team that needs him the most.  The Raiders finally find a player that can help the young Derek Carr out.

Washington (4-12) – Randy Gregory – DE – Nebraska – The 22-year-old Cornhusker is just scratching the surface on his potential. Once he refines his game, he could be close to unstoppable. He was expected to be the first defensive end drafted but after failing a drug test at the Combine he slides to the 5th spot.

N.Y. Jets (4-12) – Vic Beasley – DE/OLB – Clemson -Beasley is coming off an 11 sack season and while the Jets do need a quarterback there is not one to take at this pick to really help them.

Chicago (5-11) – Leonard Williams – DT – USC – Leonard Williams is a Florida kid that has a huge motor. The Bears love their front seven and adding Williams to the mix makes their team amazing up front for John Fox.

Atlanta (6-10) – Shane Ray – DE/LB – Missouri – Ray is a dynamic edge rusher, something the Falcons desperately need.

N.Y. Giants (6-10) – Brandon Scherff – OL – Iowa – The Giants need offensive lineman, and Scherff is a very solid player that can play multiple positions on the line.

St. Louis (6-10) – TRADE – MIAMI DOLPHINS swap first round picks in 2015 and give up their second round pick in 2015 to move up 4 spots – Dolphins select – Kevin White – WR – West Virginia – White is a very solid and complete wide out.  The Dolphins have him rated as their top prospect, and they only technically gave up a second to land him.

Minnesota (7-9) – DeVante Parker – WR – Louisville – Teddy Bridgewater will finally have a wide receiver he is comfortable.  Parker and Bridgewater were teammates at Louisville and the two will have major success in the NFL.

Cleveland (7-9) – Danny Shelton – DT – Washington – Guys who check in at 332 pounds should not be able to move as well as Shelton can. If he plugs in as a nose tackle he will be a steal for the Browns. The Browns were horrible at stopping the run, and he fills that need.

New Orleans (7-9) – Alvin Bud Dupree – DE – Kentucky – Dupree should help lift the Saints defense. He flies off the line, thereby setting up his moves back inside toward the pocket. The 24 career sacks he recorded were no fluke.

Miami (8-8) – TRADED TO THE RAMS – ST. Louis selects –Trae Waynes – CB – Michigan State – Waynes has separated a bit from the CB class. He’s extremely aggressive vs. the pass and run, yet has the awareness to make plays on the ball without committing penalties.

San Francisco (8-8) – Arik Armstead – DL – Oregon – The 49ers need defensive line help, Armstead is similar in size to Calais Campbell and is a better player out of college.

Houston (9-7) -Marcus Peters – CB – Washington – He is arguably the most skilled cornerback in the 2015 class; he also was kicked off Washington’s team midseason, reportedly on account of multiple dust-ups with his coaching staff.

San Diego (9-7) – Todd Gurley – RB – Georgia – The Chargers are in need of a running back after losing Ryan Mathews to the Eagles. Gurley is the best running back in this draft and he is still available.

Kansas City (9-7) – La’el Collins – OT – LSU – The Chiefs need a tackle, and they recently had turnstile Byron Bell in for a work out. If they want to succeed they need a solid tackle. Collins is one of the best tackles in this draft, and an instant upgrade for the Chiefs.

Cleveland (from Buffalo 9-7) –Jaelen Strong – WR – Arizona – The Cleveland Browns need another wide out and they do not want to touch any receiver with a background problem. I see them leaning on the Arizona prospect, who has great hands. This might be the Browns best first round pick in several years.

Philadelphia (10-6) – TRADE – Tennessee Titans select – Andrus Peat – OT – Stanford – The Titans love drafting offensive lineman, and this year they will do it again. They move down and get a solid player who can play multiple positions on the line.

Cincinnati Bengals (10-5-1) – Malcolm Brown – DT – Texas – The Bengals need help on their defensive line and Brown is an impact player. I was going to take an offensive lineman, but Brown is a solid player that is just sitting there when the Bengals pick.

Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5) – Kevin Johnson – CB – Wake Forest – Kevin Johnson is a big cornerback that the Steelers would love to have. He is a physically gifted player who is all over the field.

Detroit Lions (11-5) – Melvin Gordon – RB – Wisconsin – The Lions need a running back after losing Reggie Bush. Gordon is considered the most NFL ready back in the draft, and the Lions get him in the first to keep him away from Dallas.

Arizona Cardinals (11-5) – Maxx Williams – TE – Minnesota – Maxx Williams is the best tight end in the draft, and the Cardinals need another weapon for Palmer. Right now they only have Troy Niklas on their roster after losing Rob Housler to the Browns.

Carolina Panthers – T.J. Clemmings – G – Pittsburgh – The Panthers have been trying to upgraded their line and TJ Clemmings would solve one of the few issues — offensive line depth.

Baltimore Ravens – Dorial Green Beckham – WR – Oklahoma – DGB is a very good wide out and John Harbaugh is not afraid of a kid with a troubled past.  This is a match made in heaven.

Dallas Cowboys – TRADE with Minnesota Vikings for Adrian Peterson – Minnesota Vikings select – Bernardrick McKinney – LB – Mississippi State – McKinney has the size to bang inside with linemen and plenty of speed/athleticism to make plays in coverage.

Denver Broncos – Ereck Flowers – OT – Miami – The Broncos can use another offensive lineman to protect Peyton. Flowers is a Round 1 talent who could develop into a long-term starter on the line.

Indianapolis Colts – Denzel Perryman – LB – Miami – Perryman will be this years biggest riser.  The hard hitting linebacker will come in and help complete the Colts front seven.

Green Bay Packers – Eric Kendricks – LB – California – The Green Bay Packers have a very solid front seven but add in Eric Kendricks the brother of Eagles linebacker Mychal and you have yourself a steal.

New Orleans Saints – Seahawks pick traded for Jimmy Graham – Saints select- Eddie Goldman – DT – Florida State – The Saints need to stack their defensive line again. Goldman could be a great addition with Bud Dupree.

New England Patriots – Landon Collins – S – Alabama – The Patriots won the Super Bowl and now they have the luxury to take the best player in the draft. They find a steal in Collins.
