Antonio Gates is one of the best tight ends to ever play the game. He has been an amazing pass catcher for years in San Diego, but now the former basketball standout at Kent State is looking for a lesser role with the team. When talking with Emily Kaplan of MMQB.com, he stated he would like to take less snaps.
“With injuries and whatnot, I played a little bit more than they expected me to play last season,” Gates said, via Emily Kaplan of MMQB.com. “I was playing the whole game. How I feel next year, it depends on how much volume they have me doing. I’d like to come in on third-and-7s, red zones, those situations. That’s what my contribution is at anyway.”
This is good news for Fantasy Owners of LaDarius Green. It could be Green’s time to shine with the Chargers, so remember this option in your fantasy drafts.
