The Jets gave two old cornerbacks long term deals
I know that the New York Jets landed two of the best cornerbacks in the game, but did anyone forget they are old? Did you know there is no other team in the NFL with a corner on their roster that is older than 31?
@eaglescentral: Saw a stat that no NFL team has a CB older than 31. NYJ signed Revis, 30, for 5 years, and Cromartie, 31, for 4 years.
The Jets gave Revis a 5 year deal worth 70 million and Cromartie a 4 year deal worth 32 million. Basically this means both will retire at 35 if they last the entire contract.
Darrell Green played at the age of 42, but he was in great shape. Will these contracts bite the Jets? Or will it put them over the hump?
