byrdThe New Orleans Saints are working very hard to save money.  Today they found a way to save 4.8 million in cap space by converting Jairus Byrd’s 6 million dollar roster bonus into a signing bonus. According to Field Yates, the Saints cap drops from 10.3 million to 5.5 million.  They are getting there slowly but surely.

Last year Byrd did not play much after suffering an injury. The team will need something from the former Pro Bowl safety this year, or else they can hang it up on him.
