Patriots head coach says Darrelle Revis leaving is not a “Big Story”
Speaking Tuesday morning at the Annual League Meeting in Phoenix, New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick was asked about Darrelle Revis leaving in free agency. His response was simple, it was not a big deal.
“It’s NFL free agency. Players leave teams and go to teams in free agency every year,” Belichick said. “That’s not a big story.”
Pressed further on Revis, Belichick said he “didn’t know” how the team would replace him and then reminded everyone again it’s just “NFL free agency” and it happens every year.
Belichick won’t flinch because he lost a player, so I wouldn’t worry too much about the Patriots.
