Michael Johnson is deciding between the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals will have Michael Johnson returning on a visit today, but the Minnesota Vikings tried preventing that meeting from happening. Chris Tomasson of Twin Cities met Johnson at the airport, and talked to the former Buccaneers pass rusher before he left.
“No lie. Before it all started, I thought, ‘OK, I’m probably going back to Cincinnati.’ There’s going to be some tears shed at the end of the day about my decision. It’s going to be hard.’’
Asked if the offer made by Minnesota was a pretty good one, Johnson, said, “Yes sir.’’ Regardless, Johnson said he wanted to honor the commitment he gave earlier in the week that he would visit Cincinnati.
“I’m a loyal, respectful guy,’’ Johnson said. “When I tell you I’m going to do something, I’m going to do it. So I’m going to honor my word by going to Cincinnati and we’ll see how everything goes.’’
Sounds like Johnson has a tough decision to make.
