David Cobb will not perform tomorrow at Minnesota’s Pro Day

david cobbDavid Cobb is one of the best running backs in college football, but tomorrow when his teammates have their pro day, Cobb will miss the event.

Minnesota will hold its on-campus pro day on Monday, but senior running back David Cobb won’t be participating. Cobb’s father told the Pioneer Press Sunday that his son is still recovering from a quad strain he suffered Feb. 21 at the NFL Combine.

Cobb will hold a personal workout in “early April.” Cobb ran a 4.81 40-yard dash in his first try at the NFL Combine, but pulled up towards the end of the run and sat out the rest of the drills due to injury. The strain is “a lot better” according to his father, but not quite ready.

Cobb is considered one of the best backs in the draft, and many have him rated in the 2nd to 4th round.
