Broncos have offered Virgil Green a multi year contract; Mulling the offer
Denver Broncos tight end Virgil Green is currently mulling over a multi-year offer from the team while fielding interest from multiple other clubs, according to The Denver Post. No less than 13 teams have reached out to Green’s agent, per the newspaper.
“The Broncos have talked to me,” Green said Saturday. “They didn’t tell me what my role would be but they made it clear how valuable I was to them. I love playing in Denver, and I love the fans. But I can’t make the decision just based on that. I appreciate the offer. But I don’t want to react too quickly until I know how other teams see me.”
The Broncos only have one tight end on their active roster, and that is Domonique Jones. Virgil Green is a very good player and could be a great option to replace Julius Thomas.
