Are Lions moving on from Ndamukong Suh? Focused on Nick Fairley now?
Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press is reporting that the Lions have began focusing on re-signing free agent defensive tackle Nick Fairley.
The Miami Dolphins are considered the favorites to land him. The Oakland Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars have piles of money to throw at him. NFL Network reported that the San Diego Chargers plan to make a run at him. And the Lions still could re-sign him, though they are reluctant to commit too much money to Suh and recently have diverted some attention to trying to re-sign Nick Fairley.
It will be hard for anyone to compete with the Dolphins. Remember the Dolphins have zero tax, which is hard to compete with, especially San Diego who has a 13 percent tax. That is a lot of money to make up on a contract that big.
