Andre Johnson has asked the Texans to cut him
The Houston Texans wanted to try and trade Andre Johnson, but that is not what his agent is looking for. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Johnson’s agent, Kennard McGuire has asked the Texans to release Johnson.
“After 12 years of being a model citizen, an ambassador, and the face of this franchise, he deserves more than a mishandled P.R. campaign that showcases only one side of the story,” McGuire told PFT on Wednesday morning. “After 12 years, he deserves to be sent off in a better way.”
I have to agree with McGuire, because Johnson has been a legend in the Houston area, but he should be able to pick his next team.
