49ers second year linebacker Chris Borland retires at 24 years old
In a very surprising move, San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker has Chris Borland, 24, has retired from the NFL after one season because of concerns about the “long-term effects of repetitive head trauma,” he told ESPN’s “Outside the Lines.”

This is the second linebacker of the Niners to retire in the past week. This is a reminder that some players want a lot more in life.
Borland admitted to suffering more than one concussion in his career.
