Ravens GM hopes Ray Rice gets another shot
Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome told the Baltimore Sun that he would be “happy” to see running back Ray Rice get a chance with another NFL team.
Rice was suspended indefinitely by the NFL in September after TMZ published video showing him striking his then-fiancee inside a elevator. The Ravens also terminated his contract on the same day. Newsome said today, he would be happy for Rice if he found a new team.
“I don’t know what 31 other teams are thinking, I think we’ll find out probably before April whether Ray will get an opportunity to sign with another team,” Newsome said. “If he gets an opportunity to play with another club, I would be happy for him.”
I too feel Rice deserves another shot, It will be interesting to see which team takes the chance.
