Giants GM says Odell Beckham Jr. was trying to be a hero saying he played with two torn hamstrings

odellAfter the season Odell Beckham Jr., the New York Giants rookie wide receiver stated that he played the season with two tears in his hamstrings in 2014. Well today, the Giants GM laughed that off and said he felt Beckham was just trying to be a “HERO”.

“I don’t know about that. I think he’s trying to be a hero,” Reese said. “I don’t think you can play with two torn hamstrings and run fast like that. I think our doctors would have caught that.”

Beckham did miss all of training camp and the first four games of the season with a hamstring injury, but recovered to catch 91 passes for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games and win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

There were times during the second half of the season when Beckham admitted to pulling up on a deep route because he felt the hamstring tug and he didn’t want to pull it again.

“According to our doctors, it was healed up,” Reese said. “He may have gotten fatigued later in the season, but I don’t think you can go out there and run like that if you’ve got a couple of torn hamstrings.”

I agree with Jerry Reese, I feel that is impossible, what do you think?
