The Chicago Bears are expected to interview Shanahan for their vacant head coaching position once they hire a general manager, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Cutler was with Shanahan for his first three years in Denver. The reunion could maybe help save the relationship between Cutler and Shanahan.
“He’s a heck of a coach,” Cutler said following the Bears’ season-ending loss to the Minnesota Vikings, according to John Mullin of CSN Chicago. “He deserves to coach somewhere. He’s been out of the game so I’m sure he’s looking to coach somewhere.
“My three years with him were very, very enjoyable. He does a good job with teams on and off the field.”
