What is your name?

Axel Ofori Jr.

What is your Height/Weight?

5’10 195lbs

What is your position?

Where do you play college football?

University Of Maine

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

About 15 teams.

How did you choose your school?

Maine showed the most support and continued to have confidence in me after my injury during my senior year of high school.

Where are you from?

Gaithersburg, Maryland

Who is your role model, and why?

My Mom. She raises my younger brother and I as a single parent, which is not easy with our personalities. She has sacrificed so much to make our lives the best and happiest she can and continues to support us. Without her, I wouldn’t be the man I am today.

Have any scouts met with you yet, and if so what are they saying?

Scouts come in and out of our facilities, but don’t usually talk to the players. Only the coaches and trainers.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I played Basketball for a while and a little bit of soccer when I was younger.

Did you play any other positions in football?

Running Back, wide out and Safety

At your position, what separates you from others?

Definitely my Man Press and playing physical. Also route recognition.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

WR speed and the way WR runs their routes. WR press release, WR Alignment and what route comes with that alignment. QB tendencies, who is his favorite target. Qb 3 and 5 step drops. Route concepts in certain formations.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

No Response.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Darrelle Revis, because he presses every play. He plays physical and with emotion and passion, always frustrating the Wr’s.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

I would have to say when I lost my scholarship offer from Louisville my senior year of high school due to injury. I overcame this obstacle by praying every day and working extremely hard to get back on the field for the Maryland High School all-star game. I was able to play, proving a lot of people wrong and earning a scholarship to Maine.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Pray to God and listen to my specific music playlist the day before the game, and again on game day in the same order.

What is your biggest strength?

My Competitiveness.

What is your biggest weakness?

Being Patient when I’m injured.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I will do whatever it takes to help this team win and I will give a 110 percent effort doing it.

Who was your favorite player and NFL team growing up?

LaDainian Tomlinson and San Diego Chargers.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Micheal Jordan, Morgan Freeman and Vince Lombardi.
