How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?
Where did you choose and why?
The University of Mary. Close to home and enjoyed my visit when I went there. Coaches really made me feel welcomed there.
What were your goals for your senior year?
To make it to playoffs or a bowl game and be an All American.
Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?
Yes last spring. They didn’t say too much just got information on me before senior year started. Told me to keep doing what I was doing.
At your position, what separates you from the others?
Reaction to the football and the instincts to play the game.
Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?
Tendencies of the other team and seeing where I can take advantage of that team.
Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?
If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?
My uncle passing away the summer going into my freshman year of college. He was one of my biggest fans and came to a lot of my games in high school. He was like another dad too me. I overcame it by the support of family and friends. It became a motivation for me to play the game of football that much more.
What system fits your style of play the best?
A system where I can play at the Will Linebacker position. A 4-3 defense where I am able to move in and outside of the box
What is your biggest strength?
Lateral speed and explosiveness
What is your biggest weakness?
Shooting the gap fast. I would hesitate and felt I would need to make the tackle on the opposite side of the field.
If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?
I work hard and have a passion to play the game of football.
Growing up, who was your role model?
Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?
Vikings and Jared Allen. I live in North Dakota so growing up the Vikings were the closest team. I like the way Jared Allen always hustles to the ball and never gives up on a play. He’s constantly working hard.
What was the most tragic event that ever happened in your life and how did you overcome it?
I would say once again was my uncle passing away in 2010. The support of family and friends and the strength that God gave me.
If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?
God, Tony Dungy, and George Washington
With your first paycheck what would you buy?
