49ers sign veteran linebacker and place Kassim Osgood on I/R
The 49ers signed seven-year veteran inside linebacker Desmond Bishop for the final two games of the regular season, according to CSN Bay Area News.
The 49ers placed special-teams player Kassim Osgood on injured reserve to create the roster space for Bishop’s signing. Osgood sustained a broken hand in the 49ers’ 17-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. Osgood becomes the 14th player the 49ers have placed on IR this seasons.
Bishop is just a depth guy, it probably is not going to do much for the struggling 49ers.
