Titans release OLB Shaun Phillips; Could he land on a contender?

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that the Tennessee Titans will release veteran linebacker Shaun Phillips on Tuesday.

The Titans gave Phillips a $750,000 signing bonus in the offseason and paid him $1.5 million, but got only two sacks in return.

The big thing is which team will claim Phillips. Since it is past the trade deadline, Phillips will have to clear waivers.

Hope the BRONCOS claim him, we could use another guy in the trenches to ensure our pass rush is 100% every down..we cannot lose another game and he would help give DeMarcus & Von rest as well as allowing Von to play some LB since Marshall is under concussion protocol and Trevathan can't play in our next two games…also Irving is done for the season so this move strengthens our Pass rush and allows us flexibility with LB without sacrificing our pass rush…he got 9 sacks for us last year I say sign him
