Raiders activate George Atkinson III to the 53 man roster; Place CB on IR
Today the Oakland Raiders placed CB Carlos Rogers on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season. Rogers hasn’t played since Week 8, and the Raiders decided to free up the roster spot. 33-year-old Rogers was in Oakland on a one-year deal and will head back to free agency in March. He’s still an effective slot corner.
In a corresponding move, the team signed George Atkinson III to the active roster. This is likely because the team will be without Latavius Murray. Hey look at the bright side, it is Atkinson’s birthday today. What a great present.
