Jaguars lose Allen Robinson for the year with foot injury
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday that the first-year wide receiver will miss the remainder of the season because of a stress fracture in his foot.
Robinson the team’s second-round pick caught five passes for 60 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys, capping a campaign that saw the productive rookie haul in 48 passes for 548 yards and two scores. He showed solid chemistry with Blake Bortles this autumn, often serving as the rookie passer’s go-to target on third downs.
Robinson has been a very solid player but this injury will hurt. The team will now rely on Allen Hurns and Cecil Shorts to step up for the Jags.
