Broncos quarterback leaves practice early after tragic death to his mother
Zac Dysert, a quarterback on the Broncos’ practice squad, took a leave from the team Monday after his mother, Carla Dysert, was killed in a car accident in his hometown of Ada, Ohio according to the Denver Post.
Carla, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, after the driver of a Mazda lost control of his car on Ohio State Route 81 and went over the center line and into the path of Dysert’s Buick SUV.
The driver of the Mazda was injured and transported to a nearby hospital.
“(I found out) early this morning,” Broncos coach John Fox said Monday afternoon at the team’s practice facility. “Zac’s a tireless worker. He comes in and he does a lot of things. And he got that phone call. (He is) obviously very distraught. Our thoughts and prayers are with him. Obviously he’s emotional right now. He’s going to head back to Ohio to be with his family. … He’s back there where he should be.”
This is horrible news, please keep the Dysert family in your prayers.
