Could the Bears trade Jay Cutler after the season? It looks that way…
The Chicago Bears made Jay Cutler the highest paid player in the 2014 season, and the team is not doing very good. A matter of fact the team looks horrible with Cutler at the helm. Well today Adam Schefter posted this tweet that received quite a bit of retweets, because he is saying Cutler could be dealt by the end of the year.

Bears could trade Jay Cutler after this season and actually save $12.5 million against their cap. Other teams will have interest in Cutler.
However, Schefter also indicates that several teams will be expected to have interest in a deal should the Bears move that route. Cutler’s cap figure drops to a far more manageable $16.5 million in 2015. He will be 32-years old, which isn’t too over the hill and he still represents a sizeable upgrade over a number of starters around the league. He has thrown for 2,365 yards with 18 touchdowns as well, putting him on pace for 4,204 yards and 32 touchdowns on the season. Those aren’t bad numbers. It may come down to which team feels they can handle his turnover issues.
Could you imagine if the Jets had a real quarterback? They could be a team to keep an eye on…
