Quarterly awards: Rookie of the Year is unexpected

We already a quarter way through the 2014 NFL season and there are bunch of surprises on who is the MVP, who is the offense of rookie of the year, who is the defense of rookie of the year, and who is the coach of the year.

So far after four weeks we at NFL Draft Diamonds would like to go through and pick our quarterly MVP’s.

Offensive rookie of the year after four weeks is quite simple for us. Kelvin Benjamin the wide receiver of the Carolina Panthers has been amazing so far in his first four games. In three of those games is averaged 75+ yards a game including multiple touchdowns.

Defensive rookie of the year is also an easy pick for us. Chicago Bears quarterback Kyle Fuller has been outstanding in the first four weeks. He is a turnover machine and it always ends up with the ball in his hands, whether it is from interceptions or fumbles forced Fowler is leaving his mark in Chicago.

MVP of the NFL season for us is JJ Watt of the Houston Texans. Why has been a freak on the defensive side of the ball causing 15 quarterback hits in just four games. That is more then almost half the NFL teams, by himself. Watt has caught a touchdown pass as well as take an interception back for a TD.

Coach of the year for us was a difficult one but we feel Marvin Lewis Cincinnati Bengals deserves this award. The Bengals are undefeated going into week five and their defense and offense has been moving at all cylinders. This comes just months after losing both their offensive and defensive Coordinators to other teams.
