Cowboys offered a multi year contract to DeMarco Murray who turned it down

demarcoNFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Cowboys recently offered contract-year RB DeMarco Murray a new four-year deal.

#Cowboys have no qualms about DeMarco Murray as their franchise RB. Offered him a 4-year deal worth more than any RB got in ’14 free agency

Murray apparently turned it down. The deal would have paid Murray more than any free-agent running back got this past offseason. That’s not saying much since Chris Johnson and Toby Gerhart received the top annual salaries at $4 million and $3.5 million, respectively. If Murray keeps playing the way he is right now, Jerry might need to back up a Brinks Truck.
