Browns would have lost if it was not for Donte Whitner

whitnerDonte Whitner is the biggest trash talking safety in the NFL, but boy did he back it up this week. A forced fumble by Donte Whitner and recovery by Joe Haden late in the third quarter when the Raiders were trailing 9-6 and threatening to take the lead proved to be the turning point in the game. Whitner forced Darren McFadden to fumble at the Browns’ 20 – on the 12th play of the drive – and Haden recovered to steal back the momentum.

That fumble was the reason the fans and the team turned it around. A matter of fact, Mike Pettine was pumped by Whitner’s play.

Whitner and Hoyer are both Cleveland natives and they are playing a very high level right now.  The Browns are 4-3 and in the chase for the AFC North.
