Have you ever sat down and played Madden football on your Xbox or Playstation? Have you ever thought you were an offensive coordinator? Looking at the defense the computer is playing and trying to make a read? Well that is how Eric Reid the 49ers second year starter felt yesterday when his team was slaughtered by the Denver Broncos.
It was a stunned locker room, one that was trying to process how efficiently Peyton Manning dissected the 49ers’ defense. “You’re playing against a coordinator out there,” free safety Eric Reid said of Manning.
You technically are facing an offensive coordinator, because Peyton Manning is the best quarterback to ever play the game. Statistically speaking, there is not a better player to ever suit up. Manning has had neck surgeries and everything, and at the end of the day the guy is a special player. If the Broncos win the Super Bowl this year, he might pack it up and quit. If he does the Broncos will be in a world of hurt.
