NFL Draft Diamonds Pre-Season Winners

I thought I would put together a little piece on guys that shined in the preseason, who I feel really took advantage of their opportunities.

Biggest Surprise – Corey Washington – New York Giants wide receiver which was cut earlier in the preseason by the Arizona Cardinals, that showed up big time. Washington shined scoring four touchdowns and helping his team win 3 preseason games consecutively.

Offensive Rookie performer – Derek Carr – Oakland Raiders drafted Carr hoping he was the future, but the guy beat out Matt Schaub who was signed earlier this off-season. This is a huge win in my opinion.

Defensive Rookie performer – Jayrone Elliott – Packers defensive end and former UDFA from Toledo balled out. He finished the preseason with 4 sacks and a spot on the 53 man roster.

Biggest disapointment – The Buffalo Bills playcalling. In 5 preseason games the teams starting offensive only scored twice in the third quarter against second stringers. Nate Hackett is on the Hot Seat in Buffalo, he better hope he calls pristine games.

Best drive of the preseason? – Teddy Bridgewater leads his team down the field to win the game in the fourth quarter.
